ARRIVING TO NEW ENGLAND 11-5

After being left in boarding by another rescue for many months, this guy came to Paws New England in need of some work! Who wouldn’t need work after being cooped up in a kennel for 4-5 months with very little energy outlet.

Enter an awesome foster family in Memphis who took him in and have worked with him - he’s now a full fledged house dog, still a little bit of a bull in a china shop, but a real doll.

Toto is living with several dogs and does it well - he is sometimes a little too active for them as seniors so they get annoyed but he’s taking the cues well and settles down - no issues at all.

He’s attended doggie daycare and had a blast - boarded and same, did great.

This guy needs exercise - not just a little - a decent amount will do! Walking/running every day is a must and he loves it. Interactions with other dogs either in the home or at daycare also something he needs to have. We’d love to see him in a home with at least one other dogs who plays at his level.

Prior to his foster home, he spent time at a training farm- he had a ball. Toto thrived during his time at camp from day one. He immediately enjoyed all the activities. He learned to be around all the farm animals on day one. His off leash training was extremely successful. When on leash Toto may need to be occasionally corrected as he gets easily excited.

He does not like to be in “trouble” and wants to please everyone. Toto would do well with other dogs in his forever home. .

He’s fantastic with humans and warms up quickly to new people.

Toto is truly a great dog and would love to be yours!

Paws New England is a foster-based rescue - our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south and New England.

Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.

Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
