Will Draper would like to apply for the position of your new Best Friend!
This handsome active boy has a lot of qualifications for the position!
Will recently completed heartworm treatment and is on the mend! He is a little bigger because of the steroids and may go back to nearer his pre-treatment weight of 65 pounds. Will is going to require a few weeks to get back to an active routine once HW tx is completed and he can resume normal activities.
Will is housebroken and crate trained. He is a playful and active boy and would benefit having a playmate and yard large enough to run off some energy. He has lived with older kids, so we think that would be best. He hasn’t lived with cats or small children, so we think he probably prefers it that way.
Will needs chew toys or bones to keep him satisfied. His favorites are uncooked beef bones from meat market. He loves cuddle time and likes men better than women if both are in the room together. He thinks men are better at playing tug-of-war, one of his favorite games.
He can be left in a crate for 4-8 hours, although he would love to just follow you around all day! He rides well in the car and can ride along on short errands too!
Will is getting really good at learning basic manners! He sits, shakes, and lays down on command. He knows “leave it,” “off (as in don’t jump on me),” “no bark.” He’s still getting used to being his best self on the leash and pulls when he is distracted, but with time and a loving handler, he will get better!
Will’s favorite things are chew toys (and those bones) and sun naps (sofa or porch. He isn’t picky). His dislikes include the lawn mower, so it’s probably best if you leave him inside while you maintain the lawn. He’s not crazy about the vacuum, and is happier in his crate on cleaning days!
Other than that, Will is up to date on all his shots and is neutered. He’s ready to start work as your new best friend just as soon as you fill out the application below!
