Frankie is a stunning, beautiful husky love bug who genuinely loves everything and everyone. He is so appreciative of his new found freedom and to be able to experience everything new.
This boy was found chained on a short chain in a yard full of trash, no dog bowls in sight and fly bitten ears. All 4s Rescue, thankfully got him surrendered into their care. He has turned out to be such an amazing dog.
Frankie is in a foster home with both children and dogs and flourishing. He is very dog friendly. loves to play. He does have a bit of a “in your face” play style and needs some continued socialization training in regard to his style around other dogs. He loves them so so much, but sometimes a little too much and he needs to calm. Dogs that match his energy would enjoy him the most. Older dogs, not so much. He is not conflict driven and takes corrections from other dogs very well, and will modify his behavior. He is great with dogs on and off leash.
He also enjoys his toys, and does not destroy them.
Frankie loves children. He does get excited and jumpy, his jumps do turn into hugs, but he should still only be with children over 5 as he may inadvertently topple over younger kiddies. He also likes to gently mouth, in a play or for attention, so again, a bit too much for small youngins. Foster is working with him on these behaviors. Frankie is a great student being that he is both treat and praise motivated.
Frankie has been housetrained if let out on a routine. He is not yet alerting to his foster.
Frank is crate trained and is cooperative in going in his kennel with just a little treat for enticement. He is crated when left home and has no accidents. Frankie also eats in his kennel for safety. Given his history, we do not know if he would react to other dogs eating his food, but best not to put him in that situation. He does fine eating in his crate with the other dogs around him doing the same.
This gentle and loving young boy would do best in a more active home as he has a good amount of energy and just loves to run and play. He would also thrive in a home that has a good routine with an owner that can continue to guide and train him to be the best dog he can be. He would also just adore an adopter that will take him along to doggie friendly places and let him just soak up all the amazing things this life has to offer. He will take it all in and reward you with lots of doggie kisses and “hugs”.
A fence will be required for this handsome boy due to his breeds tendency to wander.
