Ace would be happy anywhere! We truly believe that and hope it could be with you!
Ace was ht by a car in February of this year. He was surrendered to the shelter and thankfully rescue stepped up to take him! Ace had FHO surgery and 1 month of physical therapy on his LEFT rear leg February 9th. He still has a fracted Pelvis that the surgeon felt would not inhibit his quality of life. He very likely will still exhibit some limping/toe touching on the leg that had surgery, but this is only 20% of the time right now or when he was able to run he would lift the limb. He may not be the best to hike with or have as a running partner, but he can do all other things! The more time the more build of muscle and he should eventually use that leg just like his other.
Ace is living with 9 other dogs currently and gets along great with them! He had exhibited resource guarding with food so he is fed alone in his crate. This will need to be carefully managed in a home with another dog.
He is happy in a home having a big yard right now. He walks well on a leash and is PERFECT in a crate. He loves attention. He is shy when he first meets someone, but minutes into meeting them and some treats, he is your best friend! He has never reacted poorly to another dog on leash, or even a random dog that wonders up to him.
HIs foster mom says that he has been such a pleasure to have, and knows he will make a family so happy.
