Meet Shipley, a very dapper gentleman! NOW LOCAL!

Shipley was dropped off by his “family” on their way out of town moving to our friends at Paws and Claws of Tipton County - they had taken 2 other dogs to a shelter but they didn’t have room for him so they asked around and our dear rescuers at Paws and Claws said they’d take him - thank goodness because who knows what would have happened.

Shipley recently arrived on May 8th to a foster family in New England. We suspect that he previously lived with kids because he loves, loves, loves, and adores kids of all ages! That is why we are currently seeking a forever home with kids for Shipley. He is currently fostering with a 5 year old child and wants to be involved in any activities he is doing (playing ball, arts and crafts, scootering, etc). Shipley even eagerly looks around for the 5 year old while he is at school and counts down the minutes until he arrives home to reunite.

Everyone comments on Shipley’s coloring as he is a gorgeous array of reds and browns. He is truly stunning and people stop to share that he is so handsome!

Shipley is fairly easygoing and would enjoy an active family with whom he can then snuggle up and snooze.

He’s been enjoying lots of delicious foods as we are trying to add some weight to him.

Shipley would benefit from some basic training as he gets super excited to greet other dogs, kids, and animals of all sorts (we’ve recently run into turkeys and many bunnies). He wants to be as close to his family as possible so if you are looking for an affectionate new addition to your family, he is the one!
