Charming Charlie is a special handsome boy who needs a wonderful family; a somewhat quieter home with structure, and an experienced dog owner.

We want this big boy to succeed beyond our wildest dreams - we feel we owe him.
This guy has been with our rescue for quite some time since he was returned by his original adopters and he has made such progress!!

He’s currently fostering with other dogs and dog savvy cats and is doing great! At least one other dog in the home is a MUST for this guy - he takes their confidence and makes it his own. He even was secure enough to teach his blind foster sibling how to play!

Charlie has a history of anxiety, but has done so well since starting on medication that is truly so inexpensive it shouldn’t prohibit anyone from making this boy their best buddy. He is fed him separately to make sure he gets his meds, but is fine taking treats with all the others. Charlie can still be a bit of an adolescent and stubborn at times, but he redirects easily.

This guy loves car rides, tug of war, playing ball and toys. He can entertain himself, but wants to be near his people, if they are around.
Charlie is a dream on a leash and has just started running short distances with his foster.
He is super smart, learns routines quickly, crate trained and housetrained…he has had zero accidents.

His foster family says he’s so loving and sweet - he adores affection and will willingly take however much you want to give him. He is a giant cuddle bug!! His favorite evening “activity” is curling up on the couch and tucking his head into you.

This special pup just needs a place where he’s given a chance to be his awesome self. Perhaps you can offer this to him?

Paws New England is a foster-based rescue - our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south and New England.

Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.

Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
