Bob was given to someone as a present, but unfortunately that person did not want a dog. We do not know where he was prior to the gift-giving gone wrong, but his coat was long and badly matted when he was surrendered to our rescue, so maybe it is best we do not know.
This boy has since gotten a full spa day and looks like a new pooch!!!

Bob is a sweet dog, but he arrived to our southern foster home as an extremely fearful boy. His foster has spent time just sitting with him and letting him trust her on his terms. With continued love and patience, he is slowly coming out of his shell and has been just the perfect dog.

Bob is not overly vocal, ended up being housetrained, now loves all of his foster canine siblings and is slowly growing more confident with each passing day. He would do well both as an only dog or having a doggie friend. He likes to run around the backyard with his foster’s dog, but would also enjoy having someone’s undivided attention. He also did quite well on a leash for a timid dog.

It is amazing to watch the transformation of a fearful dog becoming a secure and trusting and loving pet. If you want to be part of Bob’s continued journey, please consider this precious boy!
