NOW FOSTERING IN NEW ENGLAND!!!

Bernie is an easy going guy who decided the future is what you make of it. Bernie is a lover not a fighter so the neighborhood bullies had beat him up a time or two, maybe three…….poor guy he stopped counting.

Bernie was found roaming the streets dealing with some injuries from the hard life he was living, but he saw a chance to get a new start. He saw a few nice ladies out sweet talking a local momma dog and her pups. They were telling her about a place they could take them where there was plenty of food and belly rubs for everyone. This sounded like a great idea and he was in. He jumped in with the ladies and said take me to your leader.

Bernie’s life since then has been getting better and better. When he thinks about finding his new forever home, he gets so excited and it shows. He loves going for walks, making new friends, lounging in the laps of guests so they do not get lonely, bouncing and getting the ZOOMIES!! If you don’t know what the ZOOMIES are you are missing out.

Bernie does have a big personality and very fast feet so a house with small children will not be a good fit. Bernie loves when people visit him and lays on his back in their lap. Bernie loves to go on walks and loves to meet other dogs when he is on walks. Bernie is house trained and would be best in a home that is active and with dog experience. Bernie knows how to sit and is working on not jumping on people. It is hard for Bernie not to jump because he loves everyone he meets and wants to hug everyone and give kisses.

Bernie is quite agile and could also easily jump a 4 ft. fence. He has adopted the nickname “Roo” as in Kangaroo. He likes car rides but would prefer to be on your lap so he has been buckled in with a harness and does fantastic.

He loves to go in the crate and hangout with the door open, but will get anxious closed in the crate when people are around because he wants to see and be with everyone and not miss out on anything. Bernie sleeps great in his kennel at night and stays in a gated room during the day with no issues.

Even though he is high energy, he loves to lay in the sun. Bernie loves balls. He has not shown any aggression his ball is taken away; he just wants to play, play, play.

Please take a chance on a big guy (with the crazy ears!!!) who would love to make you laugh, experience new things with you and then relax on the couch after all your adventures.
