Before you do anything - watch this video of the single most adorable, wiggly, grateful, happy girl ever:

https://youtu.be/6vkUmmfO-wk

Whisper is a very loving kind soul of a dog. She truly loves everyone and every other animal she meets, truly a beautiful soul. She absolutely adored the human kids that she lived with in her first foster home, 2 active boys 7 and 8. She then moved to her medical foster home so she could have the extensive surgeries to repair her front legs and is just amazing there as well - she loves the other dogs in the home and seriously just wiggles her way through the house all day long.

Whisper had a congenital deformity of both front legs where they bent inappropriately - (see one of her photos). These could have been left alone as she was able to walk but she would have had arthritis soon rendering her unable to walk - there was no way we were having that happen - she sat in the shelter in Texarkana because no one would adopt a dog like that - enter our partner Dawn from Passion for Pooches who asked and we said sure!! And boy are we glad we did.

This girl never once complained during the surgeries, months of casting, and now physical therapy. She will be fitted for braces to help support her surgical sites as they continue to heal.

Her surgeons says she may never run a marathon but she’ll be happy girl who can run around the yard and play with her doggie and human friends!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION -

Paws New England is a foster-based rescue - our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south and New England.

Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.

Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
